The Marlene Correa Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, dedicated to empowering individuals through access to education, mentorship, and essential support.

The foundation was born from the heart of Marlene Correa, an immigrant and single mother who turned her own struggles into purpose. After founding Gorgeous by Glam Beauty Academy, a state-accredited beauty school, Marlene witnessed firsthand how many of her students were fighting battles far beyond the classroom. Some were trying to escape unstable or unsafe living situations. Others came from families struggling with poverty, carrying the hope of creating a better future not just for themselves, but for their loved ones.

Seeing these needs inspired Marlene to take action. She poured her time, resources, and passion into creating the Marlene Correa Foundation — a place where students are not only supported academically, but personally.

Through scholarships, mentorship, and our Student Necessity Pantry, we help students meet both their educational and everyday needs — from funding for tuition to access to hygiene products, laundry detergent, and other essentials that often go overlooked but make a real difference in daily life.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to remove barriers, restore dignity, and provide opportunity. Because when people feel supported, they find the strength to build new beginnings.
